REMEMBER: Records are for life, not just for Record Store Day!
Huge thanks to Matthew at makeitmulti.com for this awesome video of our manager, Faye, talking about what we do and our love for our customers and music.
We are forever grateful to every one of you; whether you pick up new releases from us weekly, hold out for those special reissues or simply pop in for a coffee and a chat through the week.
Here we are in our 5th year of trading and looking forward to making many more friends out of customers in the future.

Lucky 7s is BACK!
Very loose rules, all* 7" records now FLASH SALE £7 in store only until the end of June. That's only £3.50 a side and probably about £1 per minute of music on average.
*Some exclusions apply, these will be clearly marked in the shop.
I had a really nice day yesterday, celebrating the launch of Bring On The Apathy. Thanks so much for all the nice feedback about the songs! It was lovely to spend some time with Gill, Cammy and Pete rehearsing for our gigs at @sgr_recordcafe , @pianodrome and @hallhousegigs this month. Then it was onwards to Linlithgow for a great wee in-store gig at @lowportmusic . I really enjoyed it so big thanks to Chris and everyone else for making it happen and for supporting the record.
🎷NEW RELEASE FRIDAY🎷
It's a busy ol' time over here with listening parties, in-stores and events planning for the summer, but here are 10 (from a mammoth 40+) highlights of the new releases in store today!
Shhe’s latest album gives voice to the Mediterranean sea at a moment of crisis. Using voice and modular synth, it’s an immersive listening experience and we have SIGNED Scottish exclusive orange bio-vinyl editions, pressed at Seabass.
We’ve sold through our initial clear vinyl editions of the new Neurosis record, but there’s a smoky grey repress coming in June - get in touch to order!
Adam Ross’s Bring On The Apathy is his 3rd solo outing, recorded all-analogue and to tape here in Glasgow. Adam will be instore this Sunday at 4pm playing some tracks and introducing us to the record, so jump down to hear more!
Jeff Parker’s long-running ETA IVtet put their 3rd album down with Happy Today which showcases the IVtet's signature syntax built around long-form, minimalist improvisation expanding confidently into larger space.
If you enjoyed the Work Money Death release on ATA earlier this year, this next one's for you. The Kármán Line from Outer Worlds Jazz Ensemble feat. Chip Wickham offers deep vibrations, expansive vistas and higher planes.
Jasmine Myra’s tender and elegiac alto sax lines sit gently around precision melodies for strings, piano, flute, guitar, vibraphone, and harp which themselves furl and unfurl gorgeously around tenor sax, double bass, drums, and percussion on Where Light Settles.
Kraftwerk’s Radio-Activity has reached it's 50th anniversary, and we’ve this gaudy picture disc to celebrate.
Produced by Aaron Dessner, Kevin Morby’s Little Wide Open closes a trilogy of releases following 2020’s Sundowner and 2022’s This Is a Photograph.
This version of Oscillations was the last ever recording by Simeon at his ChickenCoop studio in 2019 and captures how he liked to play it live. Backed with the late Andrew Weatherall's remix of The Edge of Wonder and packed with a slipmat, this is a special release!
Classics Vol. 1 is Modeselektor’s attempt to rerecord some of their early hits, but turned into the writing of mew pieces altogether.
✌💕
3 days to go! My new album, Bring On The Apathy, is out on Friday! I'll be celebrating with an in-store at @lowportmusic in Linlithgow on the day, then @sgr_recordcafe in Glasgow on Sunday. Then, the following weekend, catch me at @mofidelityrecords in Montrose.
The New Release delivery landed very late yesterday so there was no time to plan our usual highlight post...
But fear not! Here is a badly made video (I am nothing without @omgitshev ) to show you what's already in, with another box expected for delivery this afternoon (Super Furry Animals is in there!)
Pop in 5pm this evening to celebrate @carla.j.easton brilliant new release with a wee performance from her and pick up a signed copy of the album :)
All details of the new releases at linktr.ee/SGR_ which is also in our bio. ✌️
🍀NEW RELEASE FRIDAY🍀
We are back at it this weekend with a huge wall of great new bits - 10 highlights here and plenty more at the linktr.ee/SGR_ (in bio).
It’s finally time for new Kneecap! Fenian upends expectations with an expansive sonic palate, traversing acid house, trip-hop, dubstep, and more.
6th Album from Kacey Musgraves, ‘Middle Of Nowhere’ draws from a love of Texas dancehall classics, humorous takes on the human condition, and the space where traditional country borders many sounds.
Hiss Golden Messenger is back with ‘I’m People’, a vivid, deeply human album born from a period of rupture, renewal, and vast American wandering.
‘Another Country’ is the 5th full-length from indie sweethearts Cindy, built around the songwriting of Karina Gill and is replete with the poetry of private vistas, eavesdropped dramas and confusing winds.
Lorelle Meets The Obsolete follow last year’s acclaimed seventh album ‘Corporal’ with a new 4-track EP, ‘Corporeal’ which has 2 brand new tracks and 2 remixes from the original album.
A 6-song mini-album from Mclusky now, which features four new songs recorded in fall 2025 along with a couple songs from their digital-only comeback ep in 2023 and is called ‘i sure am getting sick of this bowling alley’.
Drawing from an expansive palette of R&B, neo soul, contemporary jazz, and poetic songwriting, British-Nigerian award-winning singer-songwriter and musician Ego Ella May brings us a double LP of ‘Good Intentions’ on Believe Recordings.
Built from the chaos of two drummers locked in psychic combat, a sampler that sounds like it was struck by lightning, and frontman Bret Kaser’s paranoid preacher energy, Lip Critic return with ‘Theft World’.
Pigeon’s debut album ‘Outtanational’, is a thrilling collection of party songs without limits: think William Onyeabor in outer-space or early Hot Chip making motorik afrobeat in a 70s New York loft.
Seefeel return with their first full-length album in 15 years – a beautiful, hazy and blissed out collection of fractured melodies and vaporous textures - coined their ‘dub’ album.
xx

We're missing a box of NR this week - hope to have them in by early next (incl. Lice, Reds, Pinks & Purples, Portrayal Of Guilt...) Fire us a message if you have any queries!
Bosse-De-Nage dropped Hidden Fires Burn Hottest back in March and the vinyl finally reaches us today via The Flenser.
Now on album #13, InFlo-led collective SAULT move onto Chapter 1 with more of their neo-soul infused, gospel-inflicted R&B.
Also on album #13 is White Denim, and this one's an incandescent, groove- heavy alchemy of rock, funk, dub, soul and down-dirty blues,
Coming at us with a 3LP 2nd volume, Paul Weller compiles some of his best performances for the Beeb.
Lily Allen's early career resurfaces with reissues of Alright, Still, No Shame and Sheezus.
Co-founder of CAN, Irmin Schmidt, delivers a quietly radical, contemplative masterpiece with Requiem.
Failure have returned with an album so very true to their sound, and some siiiiiick cover art, with Location Lost. Been really enjoying this one.
Acid Jazz continue to publish the legacy of the Albarika Store library, this time with West African Beat: Rare 7s And EPs From Benin And Niger from the mighty T.P. Orchestre Poly-Rythmo.
Channelling the noirish atmosphere of classic trip-hop bands, while adding a hefty dose of maximalism and a dream-pop sensibility, Miss Grit is back with Under My Umbrella.
And on the ever excellent Analog Africa, we have a devilish reissue comp in the form of Antoine Dougbe Et L'Orchestre Poly-Rythmo De Cotonou.
We've a gorgeous late instore this eve from 7pm with Pippa Blundell playing songs from her new ep 'songs with james', with beautiful cassettes and merch available to pick up - spots are tight if in-store, but with the weather what it is it could go to courtyard in which case, bring yer pals and family x
