the fragility of idylls Reliving the performance on 14th March, @elysiumswansea and revelling in every-one’s contributions. I’ll post something of what I got up to another time, but for now I just want to say a massive thanks to all the performers who turned my Sighting exhibition inside out and upside down, bringing new perspectives and understanding of the complex nature of our perception and experience of the spaces we inhabit. What happens when the established meanings and fixations start to crumble away? Sighting continues to 28th March All images thanks to the dynamic @cheye.foto who seems capable of being everywhere - noticing everything. @vrosssmith @tim_mrtn_jones @iona.moves @or.rob @beth.greenhalgh.11 @hollyslingsby @niapolly @tesswoof @waitetessa @pennyhallas What can’t be conveyed here is the sound piece created by the enigmatic but ever-present @xavybabyyyy the fragility of idyll’s was part of ReSighting, supported by Arts Council of Wales, Axis Web, Sgôr Performance Collective, Elysium Gallery @celfcymruarts @axisweb @elysiumswansea @sgor_score #nationallottery

SGÔR will undertake The Reading Landscapes Residency with Aberystwyth University, culminating in a live performance on Fri 6 March, 10am in The Foundry Studio. All welcome. Across this residency, SGÔR members will draw from their wide ranging individual artistic practices to performatively interrogate both known and unknown perspectives on Welsh landscape, conducting artistic investigations into histories and ecologies often overlooked. Central to our process will be an inquiry as to how these elements critically play out across a multiplicity of bodies, rocks, rivers, text, fields, ears, and how these can be used in performance to provoke consequences that reach for something as yet unknown.  This residency is part of a wider programme of activities taking place in February and March 2026 to celebrate Aberystwyth Ceredigion’s recent recognition as a Dinas Llên | City of Literature, and part of UNESCO’s worldwide network of Creative Cities. Subverting the institution, @sgor_score performers gathered and disseminated themselves amongst the busy opening night crowd. Team video calls echoed through the halls, chains clattered against the marble staircase and corsets got tighter and tighter. The collective responded to @lindersterling punk aesthetic, calling to the imagery of her photomontages and honouring the nameless characters held within. Live Performance: SGÔR, Thurs 20 Nov, 5:30-8pm Tracing how bodies flow, collide, and eddy within shared space, SGÔR continue their exploration of the unseen currents that shape social and spatial dynamics. Following a summer residency with G39 and Ffotogallery, the group now turn their attention to the Swansea Performance Weekend opening night as an experiment in tension and permeability. Performers will test how disparate bodies can sonically and gesturally influence a collective encounter. Like rogue particles in a cultural collider, SGÔR circulates through the crowd, observing how gestures ripple, how atmospheres shift, and how formality might spill over into play. The collective embraces the cut-and-paste sensibility as a method for exploring and subverting received notions of good behavior. @sgor_score performers @clovisvosser @beth.greenhalgh.11 @vrosssmith @tim_mrtn_jones @or.rob @iona.moves @pennyhallas Swansea Performance Weekend is generously funded by Arts Council Wales @celfcymruarts and is happening 20-23 November @glynnvivian Image Credit: Peter Evans @pete_takes_pictures Carpet Wrong, 2025. 3 hour performance at disused Carpet Right warehouse, Cardiff.

//MOSH// [ live & BTS composition of SGOR’s residency at @g39cardiff ] Live Performance at Ffotogallery August 21st, 18:00 Join us for a live (and recorded) experimental performance by SGOR. Developed during a six-week summer residency, MOSH derives from the chaos of Nu-Metal aesthetics right into the cyberspace noise, from sweaty mosh pits to flickering digital screens, from the live rawness of distorted guitars to the cold glow of recorded amplifier signals. Through movement, sonic layering, and screen-based work, MOSH explores rupture, repetition, and the strange pleasure of disruption and breakdown— both bodily and virtual. MOSH Perfformiad Byw yn Ffotogallery 21 Awst, 18:00 Ymunwch â ni am berfformiad arbrofol byw (a recordiwyd) gan SGOR. Wedi i ddatblygu yn ystod preswyl haf o chwe wythnos, mae MOSH yn tarddu o anhrefn estheteg Nu-Metal i swn y good seibr - o’r pyllau mosh chwyslyd i’r sgriniau digidol sy’n fflachio, o sirder byw gitâr wedi’i ystumio i oleuni oer signalau’r amfflyddydd wediu recordio. Try symudiad, haenu sain, a gwaith ar sgrin, mae MOSH yn archwilio torri, ailadrodd, a’r pleser rhyfedd o aflonyddwch a chwalu - yn gorfforol ac yn rithiol. —x— Sound: Beth Greenhalgh @beth.greenhalgh.11 Spoken text: Sandra Johnston’s ‘With Objects In Time’ Video: GWENBA @g.wenba Featuring: Beth Greenhalgh, Iona Hannagan-Lewis, Kelsey Cruz Martin, Penny Hallas, Robert Oros, Tess Wood, Tim Martin-Jones, Vivian Ross Smith, Xavier Boucherat. < @sgor_score // @tactilebosch > With thanks to @celfcymruarts @ffotogallery
