A little moment of playfulness within a Jacobean home // I can't tell you how much I actually enjoy stepping foot into children's spaces that have been so thoughtfully designed and evoke all the spirit and mischief but provide much needed practicality. This design by @hazelmorrisinteriors is no exception. Set against centuries-old architecture, the beautiful bespoke joinery truly celebrates colour and character. The striped storage curtain is the real hero for me - not just in terms of aesthetics but when it came to tidying the space before styling, it was exceptionally helpful!! We all know that 'tidy up time' is a key part of family life. We layered warmth and story using woven baskets, well-thumbed spines, wooden animals and family pieces that feel discovered. This was a joy to style. Where dramatic warmth meets form // Here is another angle of this beautifully moody and luxe dressing room which I styled for the incredibly talented @hazelmorrisinteriors Styling was kept considered and unfussy — a few favourite books, a favourite hat, simple ceramics, brushes at the ready. I adore this room. Interior Designer: @hazelmorrisinteriors Styling@ @sg.interior.styling Photography: @_nataubry_ #interiorstyling #dressingroomdesign #luxurydressingroom #dressingroomdecor Elevated, but entirely liveable. Because even the most tailored spaces should feel at ease.

Contrast and quiet indulgence // Recent styling work for @hazelmorrisinteriors and I just adore the deep oxblood joinery which frames the threshold, drawing you through to a luxurious, light filled, master ensuite. The styling here was intentionally restrained. Just a few considered layers: softened towels, a woven basket, a simple wooden stool. Gentle textures within a calm, tonal palette — allowing the design details and materials and rich joinery to do the singing. More to come from this incredible shoot..... Natural light // Here is a shot of another corner of this lower living space that I had the pleasure of styling for Maria's 'natural connection' project. We kept the styling fresh and simple to keep the mood calm and connected to nature. Nothing formal, nothing overworked and life breathing through the space with all that beautiful natural light flooding through. Natural Connection // The overall design concept from the wonderful Maria @become_interiors for this beautiful ‘natural connection’ project was laid back, light and sylvan. I had the pleasure of working with Maria to style this family home for a recent photoshoot to ensure the styling brought her nature connected vision to life. I think we got there! The overall feel was intentionally relaxed and unfussy - light in tone, soft in palatte and rooted in the simplicity of the landscape beyond. Muted greens, warm wood accents, earthy ceramics and subtle rust nods all work together to echo natures own balance - nothing over worked, over styled, nothing forced. The day was just as relaxed as the photos suggest too - I loved this one. The subtle architectural lines and details were just gorgeous in this space designed by Leoni from @uskuri.interiors - from the fluted wall coverings to the bespoke black iron railings and warm timber stair tread. In terms of styling this corner , we went for a simple, restrained, contemporary style to complement and not compete with the beautiful details in this home. Just a few, thoughtfully chosen pieces. I couldn’t resist snapping the first pic myself but I should really leave it to the pro’s with @johnnassari capturing ALL of those stunning architectural details in the second pic. Can we take a moment for that incredible @sohohome chair in the most delectable rust velvet 🥰 It added depth and contrast and the freshly foraged branches balancing on a simple iron side table contrasted wonderfully. Just peachy // Soft layers, gentle contrast and the most gorgeous colour palette that whispers rather than shouts. Working alongside the wonderful @hazelmorrisinteriors to finalise the selections for this gorgeous space was just peachy 🍑 (see what I did there?!). There is something about this photo that brings a smile to my face……every-time. Colour pop // What you don’t see in this photo (captured by the brilliant @_nataubry_photography ) is all 5ft3 of me rearranging garden furniture like it’s an Olympic sport 💪😂 Whilst a large part of styling tends to happen on the inside of a property - creating layers, balancing tones and tweaking small details, we sometimes find ourselves outside (in all weathers!) to ensure the architectural lines and exterior design choices are captured just as thoughtfully. Here, the pop of blue brings a super cool contrast against the brick and render whilst the simple tablescape keeps the look relaxed and unfussy. Clean and simple…..even if the process wasn’t quite as graceful! A striking yet calm aesthetic sets the tone for this space which was thoughtfully designed by @uskuri.interiors and @uskuritheobald We leaned into a quiet, tonal backdrop with a pared back selection of decor pieces for the shelving and a large, simple yet impactful floral moment to anchor the space and bring some freshness. Very last shot of the day and it was a goodie. Interior designer: @uskuri.interiors Architect: @uskuritheobald Styling: @sg.interior.styling Photographer: @johnnassari

Comfort and character // A little snapshot of this living space that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. We installed this project a while ago now but this was one of my favourite rooms. The designer @hazelmorrisinteriors has such a beautiful eye for colour and pattern mixing. These cushions created such a sumptuous, eclectic layer of pattern and texture that gives the space unwavering character. I loved helping to curate the final look by layering key pieces together to add depth and warmth. Please can we take a moment for that playful striped cup and saucer ❤️ Designer: @hazelmorrisinteriors Styling: @sg.interior.styling Photography: @michellestorm_photostories #interiorstyling #livingroomstyle #styledspaces #homestyling #interiordecor

Modern coffee table styling // I snapped this pic just as the last of the afternoon light poured into this living space and the final layers were added to this stunning marble coffee table and boy, did she look pretty ✨ When a coffee table feels somewhat architectural or sculptural where the bold materiality sings, the styling becomes about balance and quiet contrast with just a few deliberate layers - books, foliage, shapes and height. Really enjoying how this came together. Interior design: @uskuri.interiors Architect: @uskuritheobald Styling: @sg.interior.styling

‘Hero’ props // Whilst each interior styling project is different and celebrates that particular design concept, evoking a particular aesthetic or feeling for the client, there are some decor pieces that flawlessly translate across varying design styles. Those pieces, whether it’s a vase, sculptural object, book or basket, adapt and don’t compete with a space. They are what I call my ‘hero’ props. Beautiful high quality decor objects that are timeless, versatile and bloody hard working! So what makes a ‘hero’ prop? It’ll be different for everyone but for me it’s…. Timeless shapes over trends Neutral or natural tones Texture that adds depth Can work just as beautifully alone as it does layered. Designing a visual story across a space and adding those finishing touches is where a room truly comes alive. I love a little shelf confidence. See what I did there 😉 Architect and interior design: @uskuritheobald and @architect.leoni Joinery: @adam_hope_bespoke Styling: moi @sg.interior.styling #shelfstyling #shelfdecor #shelfie #joinerydesign stylingpro
