Throw back to when Plastic Pavilion was exhibited at @theforestofdeansculpturetrail 2021. By far the best place it's lived in, floating amongst the canopy of trees.
Thanks @managingthetilt for producing the summer trail.
Join us on Thu 28 May 6.30pm for Attunement - a movement and sound performance by @seyi_adelekun
Attunement explores the body as both an instrument and site of healing – constantly listening, negotiating and realigning itself in relation to its environment. Working with resistance bands as a system of tendons stretched across the space, the performance draws from Adelekun’s ongoing recovery from chronic pain through physical therapy and rituals of care.
The performance is a response to ‘Senga Nengudi: Performance Works 1972-1982’ currently on view at Whitechapel Gallery.

Assembly 2026 residency artist @seyi_adelekun premieres (un)drowned, an immersive live ceremony on Sat 28 Mar.
Rooted in Black feminist thought, the work asks: what does it mean to be submerged, yet remain undrowned?
Drawing on the history of Black Mary’s Well in Clerkenwell, this work is a meditation on the ongoing neglect of Black health in the UK, drawing parallels with London’s buried and forgotten wells, and asking how colonial legacies shape which bodies are valued and cared for.
The ceremony will transform the New Wing stairwell into a living acoustic chamber, blending experimental vocals, water percussion, breathwork, hydrophone recordings and shared testimonies.
We’ve just released 15 more tickets, get them before they go!

Lunar New Year; Year of the Fire Horse 🔥🐎
I came across this old video today and it feels like my past self reminding me...
to listen to my body’s rhythm
to move in ways that feel true to me
to surrender to the natural cycles of this world
to embrace my sensuality and creative power
Whatever brings you deep joy, whatever allows you to connect to yourself, to feel free, to fully be alive… I hope you call it in.
For me, it’s movement. It’s how I connect to my emotions and process what’s happening in my life and in this world. It’s how I connect to my ancestors, to spirit, to something beyond myself. It fuels me. It resources me. It’s what allows me to keep showing up.
Here’s to moving with both strength and tenderness…to more whimsical galavanting tehe… and more fire in our hearts to keep fighting for justice.
“No one is free until we’re all free.” – Fannie Lou Hamer

Resurgence will be collaborating with Seyi Adelekun, an interdisciplinary artist exploring ecological connection, indigenous knowledge, and environmental justice.
Seyi’s practice serves as a medium for archiving and sharing ancestral wisdom. Weaving together installation, performance, ritual, and sound, they use storytelling as a tool for imagining liberatory futures. Their work is deeply rooted in embodied and oral knowledge, exploring eco-spirituality as a form of resistance against environmental racism.
On the night, Seyi’s performance will embody the narrative of Resurgence of Lubugo, moving through themes of resilience, transformation, and reconnection to material and ancestral knowledge.
Through rhythm, ritual, and embodied movement, Seyi will perform a piece that honours barkcloth as a living skin of the earth and a vessel for renewal. Voices of the Wise Women of Uganda echo through the work, calling us to remember our bond with trees, spirit, and community.
“The journey towards liberation is not easy, and responsibility is a heavy one. We must remember to seek refuge, solace, and find strength in community — caring for spirit so that it can also care for us.”
@seyi_adelekun is a London-based multidisciplinary artist of Yoruba-Nigerian heritage. Their practice spans across immersive installation, performance and sound, using these mediums as storytelling devices to archive and share ancestral knowledge and ecological wisdom 💛
