Wow, 60 is such a good place to be, I joined the world to celebrate a quintessential writer, reporter, society guru, a journalist per excellence, an amazing publisher and in all a formidable boss and mentor….
Just like yesterday, 2010 to be precise,I remembered how it all started, from the interview to the appointment as an event coordinator, from there to being the Fashion Editor(Todays Fashion magazine) fast forward to being the Editor of a style pull out inside Citypeople magazine (Oge Ara), to Head, Society Desk and eventually becoming the Society Editor of an outstanding brand….All this has been my many firsts and I take it all not for granted….
It is doing of this selfless man,SK who brought out the best in me.
My journalism career will not be complete without you taking a chunk out of the pages…. If you don’t have hot gists every Monday Editorial meetings, you can not be SK friend ooo😂😂😂😂😂 Is it the sleepless night sourcing for stories??? Or opening your message to read “” Omotii we are waiting for you in the office, I know you are bringing 4 hot cover stories😂😂😂😂 … Afterall I will end up writing 7 stories🤪🤪
So today, I celebrate the man who has produced many outstanding journalists with his formidable brand, a boss extraordinaire, SK baba as we fondly call him.
Cheers to the man who under his tutelage gave me the major big break in journalism today.
Many more years to a boss who never stops motivating and inspiring me to reach for the skies. It is said that uneasy lies the head that wears the crown, but you make leadership so seamless. Thanks for teaching me to lead with confidence.It is my prayer that all the wonderful dreams and goals you have set for yourself as you turn 60 come to pass ijn.God will continually grant you all the wisdom to remain No 1.
