The film world seems to have a language of its own…and today I put it to the test! I called a bunch of friends and put them on the spot, they had 5 minutes to give me the definition to as many film terms as they could. 2025 was an amazing year for us; bringing community together through @setready_rentals education, workshops, and events. We launched our YouTube channel and put together over 40 videos (in half a year)! Thanks to all our guests on the channel for sharing your wisdom and advice. We’ve got big plans this year to continue to foster growth, access, and knowledge.
Our laowa.cine probe lens was sent out for a commercial shoot at the hrhlondonontario, and it delivered some incredible, detailed shots.

On set for a commercial, we spent some time with Key Grip @naz.the.grip and DP @nikpilecki trying to figure out how to rig our cameras to objects and get the setups we needed.
We used the @blackmagic Ursa Mini and @arri Alexa 35 with @atlaslensco Mercury and dzo Vespids, every rig was set up to give the camera smooth, flexible movement and the ability to hit tricky angles. It’s a lot of problem-solving on the fly - balancing the gear, making adjustments, and finding ways for the camera to move naturally within the scene.
