My dad has battled kidney disease since 2021. Last month, we took a big step toward a new reality with a kidney transplant. I’m so grateful to be his match — not all relatives are. One month in, we’re enjoying brighter days on the journey of recovery.

During a road trip to Philly in 2021, we found ourselves racing to the top of the Rocky stairs. While the winner of the race is still debatable, that day reminded us that 'play' has no age limits. As adults, it's easy to forget that child within us. But for BIPOC adults, the world can sometimes make it even harder to rediscover that joy. We're here to change that.

For Setonji, play is dancing, biking in the sun, and EXTRA large puzzles 🧩 For Chandler, it's playing cards, making art, and sitting in wonder of our nature friends 🌱 We hope to make a space that nourishes how YOU play.
Black Brooklyn Field Day has been the soul of this heart-work for the last three years and it’s just the beginning! We are so excited to share the ideas and plans we have on the horizon.
