We made an album. Then we put on a show. It’s been a few months now, but it still feels unreal. I really have devoted my life to creating and playing music, at times very unsuccessfully, but other times I think I have done alright. While only a small snippet of the many things I would like to say and express with music, this album is a decent start on a forever journey. It is the culmination of many years of trial and error, of learning and growing as a musician and a person and what it means to put out something meaningful. As someone who has spent a significant amount of time on a lot of different instruments, I have struggled with my identity as a musician and as a player. At times I wished I put all my effort into just one thing, but now I embrace it and continue on that path for the musician and person it has made me. And for each of the unique relationships I have developed with each instrument over the years. This album is a testament to that. Playing with @nashshedrums has been a dream come true and I know we will continue to put out music in some capacity no matter what for a long time coming. There are so many people behind an album, and behind what makes all of this come to fruition. Even down to the teachers who taught us when we were just kids. Too many to type. Though, I do thank my wife @noah_pal_ for believing in me when I often didn’t. For listening to me rant incessantly about god knows what about music and recording or whatever.
I rarely post here about anything, but I thought it would be nice to share something. While I am proud of this one, I know we will put even more into the next one.
