@dave_graham_ “JIUJITSU [8B+] Fun little side quest completed 🤗 Shares the start with Kobayashi which clocks in around 8a+ if you vibe with the first kneebar, then joins into the crux 8a section of Tajitsu which feels a bit harder after a key hold broke at the end. Def feels similar in difficulty to its neighbor Ninjitsu, which seems to be a pretty solid benchmark 8b+ for Bavona! Really nice addition from @pol_roca 🔥! Hopefully it gets some more attention in the future! The past month I’ve been absolutely locked in at the big project, and I’ve had some heartbreaking attempts falling on the last move 😱🤦🏻‍♂️! Never encountering prime conditions but thats not holding me back yet; determination seems to be the crucial element in the equation at this point, so I’m just gonna keep showing up and going a MUERTE ⚔️ Summer has definitely arrived here in Ticino and the valleys are feeling very tropical, but I’m fully committed so LEZ GO!! A mild winter has led to an early start to the Wolf Point season. I managed to take advantage and finish up Easy Prey this past weekend! . After falling in the upper crux too many times to count, it felt amazing to finally execute and find myself resting having to keep my nerves in check for the easier exit climbing and final boulder. Luckily, it all felt solid - but hard enough to be full engaged - and I found myself clipping chains. . At 8b, Easy Prey is far my hardest route on paper. At points during this process, I’d by lying if I said the lower grade and my inability to get it done didn’t bother me. Reflecting on it now, however, I couldn’t care less. This route is one of the best. Period. It’s also a style - purely resistant - that I find difficult and I know working through that has helped me become a better climber. 🇬🇧 Fitness is slowly coming back after a biiiig drop in April 🥵 Happy to be getting back into good shape, but definitely not happy about the conditions ⛈️Spring usually is my favorite climbing season here in Catalunya, but this year has been pretty bad and the upcoming weather doesn’t look promising…So I’m training on other routes in the meantime and crossing my fingers for the rest of the month! PS: I’m absolutely LOVING the Large Magnum @sendclimbing kneepad! I used to be pretty mediocre at kneebars 😅 and I always used the Mini Slim (the thin one). But this year I’ve really improved my skills on more technical kneebars, learning where to place my feet, how to position my leg, and how to properly load the knee. I recently switched to the thick rubber (the Magnum), and I’m 100% convinced—it’s a game changer for these tricky kneebars! 🇫🇷 🇫🇷 La forme revient doucement après une grooosse baisse en avril 🥵 Contente de retrouver de bonnes sensations, mais clairement pas contente des conditions ⛈️ Le printemps est normalement ma saison de grimpe préférée en Catalogne, mais cette année c’est la cata et la météo n’annonce rien de prometteur…Du coup je m’entraîne dans d’autres voies en attendant et je croise fort les doigts pour le reste du mois. PS : Gros coup de cœur pour la genouillère Large Magnum de Send ! Avant j’étais assez médiocre en coincements de genou 😅 et j’utilisais toujours la Mini Slim (la fine). Mais cette année j’ai vraiment progressé sur les genoux plus techniques : où placer les pieds, comment orienter la jambe, et surtout comment bien charger le genou. @sebbouin “Greece 🇬🇷 - « Gorilles Stin Omichli extension » (9a?) - second go ✅ Elona project Kyparissi I kept trying this pretty unique project in Elona. The line is really cool—it climbs up two very thin tufas. There’s a first 7a+ approach, and right after that a boulder crux (around 8a boulder) on beautiful pinches to reach a stunning endurance section on two thin columns. To finish, there’s a gorgeous section on orange rock with a right-hand dyno (in the photo). This route wasn’t supposed to be that hard at first, but I broke the key left-hand tufa several times in the crux, which made the section harder and harder… 😅 In the end, I didn’t manage to send it quickly and had to choose between exploring Greece to see its potential or staying longer to finish this route. Since I didn’t have much time, I chose exploration, and we went to Kyparissi to discover this little paradise. On my first day and second go, I sent “Gorilles Stin Omichli extension.” It’s graded 9a in the guidebook, but with knee pads it felt more like 8c to me. Time to start bolting now 🔥” 📸 @alois.bgdb

So stoked to finally get the tick on “Iron Man” ✅ The most committing project I’ve had to date. Took 17 sessions, 45 tie ins and probably 3 litres of tears. Thanks @mattraimondo for the footage, for all the belays and the pep talk when I was mentally struggling and being harsh on myself during the process. You are the bestest 🥰🙏
