After the Movie Screen and Spannuth Armada, Kirkules was next on the list. It’s such an epic line, and a rather intense DWS with a very tenuous and technical boulder around the 50’ mark. Apparently a hold broke in the crux a few years ago and I know numerous strong people who say they’ve gone up it only to be baffled by the crux (as evidenced by the bail biner!). I rapped down the route a few weeks ago and sorted this cryptic sequence that I was stoked on, and knew it would be a really fun time over the water. I ended up firing it first go of the day, then flashed the 13c next to it, Bad Hombres! We only have one week left and I’m trying to enjoy the excitement while it lasts!
