Students dove into a simulated committee meeting, continued their simulated Senate sitting, and even experienced a surprise emergency debate. Teamwork, leadership and debate skills were on full display in the Red Chamber!

As they simulated a meeting of the Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs, Model Senate participants had the chance to hear directly from expert witness Senator MichĂšle Audette on a mock bill: an Act to establish a national strategy on alternative treatment and rehabilitation programs for offenders with mental health conditions.
The perspectives from the real Senate brought the legislative study and debate process to life!
