As inflation reaches the highest levels since 2023 and rising oil costs from the Iran War drive up the price of gas and consumer goods, here's how we're working to make life more affordable for Pennsylvania workers and families:
🏡Supporting tax-deductible savings accounts for first-time home buyers.
🏫Investing in local schools and emergency services to keep the burden off local taxpayers.
🧓Expanding the Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program for eligible seniors and adults with disabilities.
💵Passing the Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit – delivering about $193 million in tax relief.
💲Working to raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour – benefiting 865,600 Pennsylvania workers.
🎓Investing in every child’s post-secondary education through the Keystone Scholars Program.
🎟️Co-sponsoring Senate Bill 640 to eliminate “junk” fees in booking airfare, concert tickets, or hotels.
Back in March, I visited @plantingseedswithmisspillay 's classroom at the Chesterbrook Academy to celebrate Women's History Month, and I was so moved by all the thank you cards I received from the students.
Ensuring these children have a bright future is exactly why I got into public service, and it was a wonderful afternoon inspiring and empowering these young leaders.
To all the students I got to meet, thank you for brightening my day. And remember, girls can do anything!
It was great catching up with @thatvegantiffany one of my constituents and a co-founder of @revolution_philadelphia
Tiffany is a passionate advocate for animals and helped lead the effort to pass a landmark ordinance in West Chester Borough prohibiting the retail sale of dogs, cats, and rabbits in pet stores.
In the state legislature, I'm a strong supporter of Victoria's Law (introduced by @senjamesmalone ) to extend that ban statewide.

Update Regarding the Whitford Road Tunnel
After my team and I reached out to Amtrak, we were told that their team is working to have a new "Low Clearance" beam installed as well as any repairs needed to the beams mounting structure.
We will continue to keep an eye on this and ensure the beam is replaced.
Thank you to the residents who reached out to us and to Amtrak for responding to this matter. If you have any other infrastructure concerns in our district, please be sure to contact my office.
I would like to personally thank Ashley Scott, the Special Events Coordinator in my district office, for all her hard work in making our fourth Community Baby Shower a success.
Ashley is a passionate advocate for maternal health and dedicates her work to ensuring that our community has the tools, resources, and support structure they need for healthy outcomes.
Thank you, Ashley, for all that you do and for your good work for the families of Chester County.
We ❤️ walkable communities!
I’m happy to announce that funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act will be used to build sidewalks along Valley Forge Road in Tredyffrin Township.
This will help ensure this road, which is frequently traversed by Valley Forge Middle School students, is safer and more accessible!
Time flew by during my visit to the Brandywine Regional Airport in West Goshen.
What began as a small grass airfield when it opened in 1939 has grown to a 3350-foot paved airstrip hosting a flight school, charter flights, and hangars for storage.
I am grateful to the team at KOQN for showing me around the facilities and airfield and for the discussion about their plans for the airport.
As we get ready to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, last week the Pennsylvania Senate gathered in Philadelphia for a special commemorative session at Independence Hall and the National Constitution Center.
In the building where our nation's revolutionary leaders crafted our founding documents, it is a powerful reminder of our duty and obligation to continue their work, stand strong in defense of our rights and freedoms, and speak out against authoritarian rule.
It is my honor to be able to serve the people of Chester County and Pennsylvania and work to ensure liberty, justice, and equality for all in our country for the next 250 years.
Our Community Baby Shower would not be possible without all the community partners and vendors that share their programming, services, and expertise with children, parents, and families in our community.
Thank you to all our community partners who were able to join us and make our fourth Community Baby Shower an empowering experience for families!
Thank you to all the nurses who provide compassionate, skilled, and life-saving care to residents, and families across Pennsylvania. This #NationalNursesWeek, we recognize the Power of Nursing in keeping our healthcare system running and our communities strong, safe, and healthy.
