ANAR FC × selfFab. @anar_footballclub THE HYBRID LEAGUE — Chapter: Togetherness ANAR FC is a pan-Asian grassroots football collective drawing linguistic and cultural inspiration from Central Asian roots. Championing a “together through football” mentality, ANAR prioritises presence over selection — showing up together rather than being chosen. For them, football begins with community, not institution. The name “ANAR” refers to the pomegranate: each seed small and incomplete on its own, yet powerful when gathered together. This idea of togetherness becomes the core of the design. The ANAR logo and the symbolism of clustered seeds are translated into a woven padded grid structure — a quilted surface that carries weight through accumulation. On the back, archival ANAR FC jerseys are reconstructed through patchwork, stitching together fragments of different moments into one living surface. The trousers exaggerate proportion, with an outer layer partially dropped to reveal inner football shorts beneath — exposing the athletic core under the styled exterior. Rather than displaying logos, the piece gathers presence. Within THE HYBRID LEAGUE, ANAR represents the grassroots axis — where football culture flows through community before hierarchy.
