the industrial precinct was once a major textile complex in l’hospitalet, dedicated to cotton yarns and fabrics. like many textile factories of the time, its everyday activity was largely sustained by women workers.

happy to share that el molinot will be part of the city as a resource, an exhibition organised by urru recursos urbans and opening this thursday, 7 may, at centre cultural la farinera del clot, barcelona.
the exhibition brings together examples of circular architecture that address the environmental impact of construction, while highlighting the social and cultural value of existing materials and their transformative capacity for reuse.

process documents for a competition entry for an office headquarters in reus.
the proposal imagines the building as a porous ecosystem in dialogue with its surroundings. it is organised around a bioclimatic agora, a shaded and planted collective space that connects the exterior landscape, the interior garden and everyday working life.
a mediterranean garden, adaptable workspaces and a living façade complete a system designed to grow, transform and age with the place. the use of locally sourced hempcrete reinforces this approach, providing the building with a thermally efficient envelope and a low carbon footprint.

urban project to improve accessibility to the historic centre of Orio, in the Basque Country.
a series of naive drawings explores possible relationships between banal elements and ordinary finishes around the vertical volume of the elevator. a search for adding just enough architecture to shift the perception of the place and produce meaning.
each drawing explores a different character for the elevator: as an urban marker, as an infrastructural monument, as an ecological tower, as a technological device, or as a fake building.

what if there were no finishes at all, so the existing elements and the new ones looked ordinary alike? details don’t need to be perfect or remarkable. most materials have edges not intended for people to see, but those are the most emotional edges to look at. we try not cover those up.

Can Trinxet tender documents have been approved, with construction scheduled to begin early next year. A careful adaptive reuse operation with varying degrees of intervention, the proposal focuses on the southern part of the complex, introducing new community programs distributed across several buildings and a new public square that connects this initial phase.

we’ve been selected as finalists for the competition of 40 social housing units in tiana. three volumes define the northern edge of the plot, freeing up the rest as a new urban park that opens views to the town’s historical centre and consolidates the existing civic centre.
