The opportunity is open to all levels of dance makers, from emerging to established. The choreographic fee ranges from $9,000-$18,000 based on length of the commission.
Two applicants will be selected by an expert panel to make works to premiere during our 2026 15th Anniversary Season in New York, NY.

Additional fees are paid by BalletCollective to the choreographer’s selected composer and source artist. BalletCollective will also provide dance studio space during creative residencies in New York, NY and Millbrook, NY and assistance with travel and housing during those times.

Ever wondered what it’s like to juggle two highly demanding roles in the ballet world? Meet BalletCollective’s glue - a.k.a. our Artistic and Administrative Manager Kristen Segin (@seginator ) - who is also a member of the corps de ballet at New York City Ballet (@nycballet ). 💛
