As the graphic designer behind this project, being part of Prof. Kohol Iornem’s book launch was more than just another job — it was an opportunity to translate legacy into visuals.
From concept to execution, my goal was to create a backdrop that didn’t just stand tall, but spoke boldly. The large-format stage backdrop was designed to reflect the dignity, excellence, and impact of Prof.
@koholiornem a humanitarian, philanthropist, and community builder. The clean typography, strong color contrast, and confident portrait placement were carefully structured to command attention while maintaining elegance.
The highlight of the installation was the custom-built 3D book structure. I wanted guests to feel like they were stepping into the pages of “Prof. Kohol Iornem: A Model for Community Liberation” by Atser Tile. The oversized book wasn’t just décor — it was an experience. Solid, imposing, and meticulously finished, it symbolized the weight and depth of the ideas captured inside the book.
Seeing attendees take photos, admire the craftsmanship, and engage with the installation was incredibly fulfilling. It reminded me that design is not just about aesthetics — it’s about storytelling, presence, and creating moments that last beyond the event.
Proud to have led the creative direction and production of this good-looking backdrop and 3D book installation. This is what happens when vision meets execution.
Thank you
@akaafele for creating this opportunity for me to expand on my creativity.
