Our update of The William Wells Brown School Garden is all done! This community effort could not have been completed without the help of Lexington Parks and Recreation (Ms.Lisa!), Fayette County Public Schools, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, the University of Kentucky Martin Luther King Center, landscapers GrowLex and volunteers Vinayak, Savannah, Samantha, Aiden, and Michael. Nourishment for neighbors starts with nourishment for our soil. Seedleaf uses compost to do that. We want to increase our composting capacity to increase our community's growing capacity. Get ready to Walk and Bike Lexington! May is walk and bike month here in our city and on the 23rd at 4pm we will be leading an all ages ride & stroll between two of our beautiful gardens. Harvesting and snacking is encouraged! 🥕🥬🫜
