Inspired by the dunes, its connection to our stunning coastline, and its proximity to the broader parklands, @oceangrandcitybeach is more than just a beautifully crafted series of buildings. Itâs home to a new community intimately connected to nature.
Thoughtfully considered and designed in conjunction with @mjastudio for our valued client @blackburneapartments
We couldnât be more thrilled to hear our friend and studio mate Kate from @whisperingsmith_ chatting with Kevin McCloud @kevin.mccloud1 and Tim Ross @modernister on their podcast @big_design_adventure today.
We feel honoured to have played a small part in crafting the garden at Giuseppeâs House. This place is an example of how good Perthâs suburbs can be with the right kind of care, thoughtfulness and great design!

New podcast alert!
What happens when you try to fix the housing crisis without destroying the suburbs we love?
You get density by stealth.
We head to the Perth suburbia to visit Giuseppeâs House, a 1960s home recently restored by local architect Kate Fitzgerald @whisperingsmith_
Beneath the terrazzo floors and colourful character lies a bigger idea: how to add more housing to our cities without flattening their identity.
Kate shares her approach to preserving streetscapes while quietly increasing density, rethinking backyards, laneways and overlooked spaces to create the âmissing middleâ between apartments and traditional homes.
Along the way, we unpack Perthâs boom-and-bust development history, the rise of
migrant architecture, and why small, clever infill might be the key to housing affordability.

Our first visit to @vesla_studio in Jolimont. A Nordic inspired wellness space we designed for our passionate clients and friends.
Something a little different for us, as we took on the design of the whole space, rather than just the landscape. A successful integrated design approach, and such a peaceful and calming space.
Will definitely be back!
Happy holidays to our team, our clients, and collaborators. 2025 was a gigantic year for us, and 2026 is going to be even bigger.
But time to reset and restâŚ.in the breathtaking beauty of WAâs south west.
See you next year x
[Inspired by Nature] ⢠Weâve known Joel Barker for nearly a decade, and have watched his projects grow from sketches into living, breathing spaces. So when the idea for a Nordic inspired wellness studio began to take shape in 2024, we knew exactly who could bring this vision to life.
We came to Joel @seedesignstudio with a bold idea: what if we created a place in the heart of the city that felt far from it? A space where calm meets structure, and nature sets the rhythm. Joel understood immediately.
With his quiet precision and love for greenery, he helped turn that thought into Vesla Studio - an urban oasis where the pace slows, the air feels softer, and every path leads you back to yourself.

Weâre proud to share Kwoba Wirin-up â a new cultural space on Wadjemup / Rottnest Island that honours the Whadjuk Noongar people as Traditional Owners.
Meaning âgood-spirit placeâ in Nyungar, Kwoba Wirin-up offers an open, ocean-front setting for gathering, reflection, and connection to Country.
Designed in collaboration with Jahne Rees, and Aboriginal artists Sharyn Egan and Yondee Shane Hansen. The Aboriginal-led Project, facilitated by the Rottnest Island Authority and delivered by the Wadjemup Aboriginal Reference Group, was completed by Landscape Australia Construction, subcontracted to Scape-ism Construction.
The design uses local materials and native vegetation to create a place that is grounded, tactile, and deeply connected to the landscape and waters of Wadjemup.
A space to sit, reflect, and listen.

Weâre excited to share our designs of multiresidential project Mill Point Road in South Perth in collaboration with @blackburneapartments@mjastudio and Planning Solutions.
Recognised with Design Excellence by the Design Review Panel, the landscape was a key driver in securing project approval.
Inspired by the curves and flow of the Swan River, the design shapes a forecourt that defines the buildingâs arrival. An organic, curving line references the movement of the river. It forms a seat, a wall, a reflection pool, and ultimately, a threshold that links the public realm to the building. Set back from the road, this shaded and planted space offers residents a moment to pause, gather, and arrive home.

Perthâs Surf Park is officially on the way!
With @aventuurco securing final investment from RAC, the project is now moving ahead and set to open in 2027.
Working alongside @mjastudio weâre designing a dynamic recreational landscape with an elevated hospitality offering that will position Perth Surf Park as one of WAâs premier tourism destinations. The 5.7-hectare site will feature a Wavegarden Cove technology surfing lagoon, glamping, dining, event spaces, a hotel, and a world-class pool and beach club experience â all within a diverse landscape that also includes skate and pump tracks, nature play, a yarning circle and a festival lawn for 3,000 people.

RAC Ningaloo Reef Resort is shaped by the extraordinary landscape of Coral Bay and the World Heritage-listed reef at its doorstep.â
â
This aerial view captures the connection between land and ocean â where reef meets resort. Guests leave their car keys behind and move on foot, with pathways that wind through native gardens, across dappled shade, and down to the beach.â
â
The design draws the reefâs context up into the resort, using planting and materials that are truly of place â creating a natural, immersive experience.â
â
More to come as RAC Ningaloo Reef Resort takes shape.â

We recently had NOMA rephotographed, and the garden is now full of life. â
â
Here, landscape is more than an amenityâitâs a social and urban connector.â
The fully public ground-floor garden links the street to daily life, inviting movement, interaction, and connection.â
â
Rather than being closed-off or private, the garden is open, shared, and dynamicâdesigned as a living space for everyone.â
â
High-density living doesnât have to feel uniform or out of place.â
NOMA is carefully integratedâvisually engaging, well-connected, and grounded in the character of Mosman Park.â
