It’s been two weeks since our time in Kutch, India, and the experience is still settling in. This craft journey went far beyond my expectations. We didn’t just see beautiful textiles—we were invited into a way of life, learning the culture, values, and rhythms that shape each piece.
So much of what we encountered was stunning, but what stayed with me most was the depth of connection with the artisans. Thanks to the long-cultivated relationships of
@threadcaravan , we were welcomed with such openness and trust. It truly felt like stepping into the homes of good friends.
Kala cotton, Deshi wool, Indigo, Embroidery, Block printing with natural dyes, Bandhani, Copper bells— materials and techniques carrying generations of knowledge and care. When you know the stories behind them, the work takes on an entirely different meaning. This trip was beautifully and thoughtfully curated to allow exactly that.
Two weeks later, I’m still grateful—for the craft, the people, and the connections that made this journey unforgettable.
