Last Fall, the Freie Presse in Chemnitz, Germany ran an article that had me from the opening line: āWith Carlo Lasch, the watches tick a little differently.ā
The author goes on to paint an intimate portrait of devotion and craftsmanship: āAt night, when the whole town is asleep, he lights the lamp in his workshop. Just then he feels peace and is inspired. The clocks around him seem to stand still and the work begins. The details are tiny, the movements precise, as if he would not assemble the mechanism, but bring it to life. This is how the watches of Carlo Lasch are created ā the result of numerous experiments, hard work and patience for the smallest details.ā
Today I received my C. Lasch Space Skeleton and it is amazing, with a high level of finishing and skeletonizing by hand. Even more important, it has been an absolute pleasure working with @carlolasch . I am excited to see what the future holds for him.
Special shoutout to @yandretti who introduced many of us to Carloās talent. It has been incredible discovering more of us who now own his pieces.

When my grandfather became president of his company in 1968, he was entrusted with his predecessorās Patek Philippe ā a timepiece passed down by the late presidentās family with the role itself.
Two decades later, that watch was lost in a burglary. Over the years, our family has recalled small details: a rectangular case, unique lugs, a small seconds dial. One day, I hope to figure out exactly what it was ā perhaps as a joint research project with @collectabilityllc .
Last year, I had the privilege of bringing a Patek back into the family ā a long-held dream. While Iām certain my grandfatherās watch wasnāt a 5212A, this piece feels like the perfect blend of our styles, and one I believe he would have truly appreciated.
Deeply grateful to my family for helping make this a reality. Special thanks to @sag.watch.club , @gentilogio , and @itsjudgementtime for their guidance, and to @montresetal for capturing it all with his incredible eye.
I never cared what week of the year it was ā until now.

After some encouragement from my Chief Marketing Officers (family) to start a watch Instagram, Iāve been wondering what my first post should be. In proof that phones are always listening, this video from 1944 entitled Endotracheal Anaesthesia popped up in my feed. There it is - anesthesia and watches. Apparently back then, they skipped gloves. Canāt let anything distract from showing off your timepiece!
