This Saturday we’re at Planet Wax celebrating the release of my new LP on Locked Up Music — Breakbeats for the Streets. The line up’s a special one for me as it includes some close music family. Expect rugged beats and deep basslines all night.
@philthdj_ I started lessons with Philth about 3 or 4 years back and it was a big turning point in developing my technical and creative process. He’s also a good mate and a massive selector who needs no intro so I’m chuffed and honored to get him down for a set!
@sectiondnb Collaborator, mentor, label boss and pal. He’s released over 30 of my tracks, helped me develop as an artist and encouraged me to do things I would have never considered like this album project. Also coming with a stack of dubs, I can’t wait for his set.

I’ve always loved the full spectrum of jungle/DnB and you can see that in my recent output… after an EP of wonky minimal beats, the next one is a rugged roller heavily influenced by the ‘good old days’, and released on a label that’s been going it proper since day 1 - Function Records ✊🏻
I met Tim Clay and Rupture and I’ve really enjoyed working on some tunes together - Tim is all about the breaks and it’s nice for me to get back to writing tunes with the purest elements. We’ve been really happy to see DJ Storm playing this tune, a stamp of approval from a selector and tastemaker I have the upmost respect for. Thanks Jayne!
