I’d never been to @caerhays_castle_and_gardens before despite driving by and seeing the stunning castle from the beach.
@cornwallcommunityfoundation hosted a wonderful evening tonight which gave us all a chance to hear of the great work they do in Cornwall and meet up with old friends and new.
Give them both a follow. You’ll be inspired by the hard work that goes on to help all@sorts of people and groups in the Duchy. And I’ll be back at Caerhays this summer!!
Another yummy Sunday Roast this week. First time at @standard_inn and it didn’t disappoint. Marvellous food, lots of care and attention to food including delicious vegetables (and plenty of it!!).
And the view afterwards is unsurpassed. We’re so fortunate to live in Cornwall. 🥰
Thank you to Lou at the team at @thearboristcafe . Such a treat to meet Chef Darryl at @yumii_pastry_ and taste your amazing patisserie. Melt in the mouth moments and flavour bombs aplenty. Mr ST & I had the loveliest evening 😘😘
Wishing you all the best for this exciting new venture and we’re definitely coming back soon! (Especially for Sunday lunch!!)

Simon has been very busy behind the scenes the last few months building a new kitchen in The Arborist ... so we now have our own exclusive in house pâtisserie.. ❤
We called upon an old friend ‘Darryl Collins’ who happens to be an excellent pastry chef and The Great British Bake Off: The Professionals 2018 finalist, to move in with his @yumii_pastry_ creations
OPENING FRIDAY 3rd April 😋

Lush breakfast this morning at @figcafe_truro in @lemonstreetmarket as part of the @cornwallcommunityfoundation business club.
Always good to hear of good news stories around Cornwall and how donations are making a tangible difference to all sorts of folk.
Happy Mothering Sunday everyone. Traditionally the day when everyone went back to their ‘Mother’ church.
But these days it’s become a celebration of motherhood itself. So whether you’ve still got your Mum, or they live in your heart & memories, whether you’re a Mum yourself, I hope you’re all having a lovely day.
Gotta love a bit of Elvis 👑
Always a pleasure visiting clients in London even if there is a replacement bus between Plymouth and Tiverton Parkway 😱 (Tbf, it was well organised and nay even have been a bit quicker than the train)
It would have been rude not to do a quick Zara shop up amongst other things 😜
🚨nerd alert 🚨2026, so far, has been all about DSARs for me (that’s a Data Subject Access Request). I’ve been busy redacting, learning, talking to clients with a bit more fire in my belly.
So imagine my delight when a DP buddy drops an album of DP songs. Oh my days, it’s been a fun Friday working with this in my earholes.
And, no, if not been redacting ‘those’ files!!
Enjoy!!
The songs are AI generated btw.
Thinking about work rituals, I need:
Coffee
Coffee shop sounds (is that weird?)
A timer
A heated blanket if it’s cold
A desk lamp
A few chews of Nicorette
And then of course the distraction of posting this on socials before I get going 😂
Anyone else have any top tips?
The coffee that made Christmas was a gift from our son from @tugboattruro . It was enjoyed super quickly so I popped in today for some more.
Cornish Dark - super delicious!!
It was a wild night, that’s for sure. We managed to escape with a rearrangement of our garden furniture and a few branches down. Others have not been so fortunate with trees blocking roads and more.
Stay safe everyone and hope that power is back on soon for those who have lost it.
