the feminine appears not as an individual, but as swarm, system, appetite.
for the 2026 edition, split across two events, Second Daughter turns toward the collective body: femininity not as singular identity but as a living system. Bringing together exhibition, live performance, sound and moving image within a single space, the evenings dwells on forms of gathering that seduce, contaminate, nourish and consume. The group becomes organism, the body becomes porous, and desire moves less as individual expression than as contagion, compulsion, and shared transformation 🩸
OPEN CALL for work examining:
⁃ collectivity as organism
⁃ the group as site of transformation
⁃ attachment / feeding / imitation / contagion
⁃ women together as threat, method, cult, ecology
⁃ the body not as boundary but as host / vessel
event 1 is looking to feature live performance, poetry, dance, exhibition works
event 2 will feature a short film/ music video programme
