A privilege to be charity auctioneer in support of @fareshare_australia , with the evening beautifully curated by @hughsallen of @yiaga.au & Vue De Monde. An incredible show of generosity for an organisation doing such important work for Australians doing it tough. There’s something very special about a room full of people coming together with genuine purpose to give back. Grateful to have played a small part.

This morning’s delivery from SecondBite helping keep the shelves, pantry and community food programs running at @morningtoncsc . Every week, around 1,000 households are supported through fresh groceries, food parcels, bread programs and community meals, including 100 loaves of bread shared daily and $200 food parcels every Friday. Food is one of life’s essentials, and with a stocked pantry onsite, support is always there when needed. Fresh Food runs every Thursday from 9.30am at St Mark’s Uniting Church on Barkly Street, regular fresh food is available whenever donations arrive, and the Community Café is open Monday to Thursday from 10am–2pm with free coffee, tea and food. Yiayia Next Door was born from a moment of quiet care ~ food passed over a fence to two brothers who needed it. SecondBite rescues surplus food from those who have it and brings it to those who don’t. A true testament to Yiayia Eleni’s ethos of giving. Come to the table. Bring people you love. Big congratulations to @andreawilsonartist , whose portrait of architect Richard Leplastrier this week made the list of @archibaldprize finalists for 2026! Late last year, Andrea captured @chefdanhunter ’s deep respect for nature and sustainability with a portrait of his Prawn and Kohlrabi Taco, thanks to @foodforeveryone.aus . Both artist and chef share a devotion to the natural world — studying ingredients as they are and honouring the beauty of their form. This artwork brings that philosophy to life, turning an often-overlooked ingredient like the prawn head into a celebration of flavour and sustainability. Andrea’s colours are rooted in reality, as if the ingredients had just been picked from Brae’s farm and brought inside to be prepared. The Minns Labor Government has awarded more than $10 million to businesses, organisations and Councils who are rescuing food waste across NSW. Organisations, like SecondBite, are redirecting leftover PRODUCE to charities that can make around 520,000 meals each year for people in need.   The partnership between the NSW Government, Sydney Markets and SecondBite demonstrates how collaboration and creativity can support communities experiencing food insecurity.
