Another music moment from years back. This is one of many covers Shan and I worked on. We did this live on a radio show. Go check her out, Shannon Corey, with big props to the overdue EP (I also did the graphic design for.) “Let Me Out” is a banger. Plus Jessi gets a shoutout in this clip since she was in studio.
Forgot I had a SoundCloud. There’s about 5-7 people this music may trigger and you know why 😂. But started as a riff I had and my old school buddy Tim (@aubin_voice_imaging ) I’ve known since basically birth jammed on with me as a precursor to our short lived but amazing band also featuring @splittingimagepost on bass. Wild to remember the days where music was the sole focus.
Sometimes you get to point your camera at really cool stuff. Thanks to @vixendeville for having me capture the Fire and Flight retreat this weekend and to the performers for making me look better at my job!
Just a small taste of the shenanigans.
Edit: Shoutout to @bonsuelajean and @aimeesmyke , the first two performers.
This will be a long one but when you cry happy tears at @madametussaudsusa in Hollywood there’s a need to explain. Jessi and I first came here on a lark on her birthday in 2022 and had way more fun than expected.
We had been trying to go the last couple weeks but the marathon and Oscars got in the way. We made it back today and she was the exact same goof she was the first time we went. She immediately went menace mode and tried to break the rules and touch Peter Dinklage’s hair.
She continually wanted to get out of her wheelchair to interact, as you’ll see. She threw in the classic “millennial girl hand on her hip” pose with Dorothy. I asked if she wanted a photo with Audrey Hepburn and knowing she’s one of my favorites, Jessi insisted I sit in the chair and then made the “camera” gesture with her hand. She ended up taking 3 photos of me.
She got more comfortable as we went along, including challenging Bruce Lee to a fight and reenacting the scene from Indiana Jones. She tried the Love Tester machine and we got in the Photo Booth. We capped the day with tracking down the star of the Starman himself and grabbing some “New Zealand style” ice cream. It’s just another example of how far she’s come and how much closer she’s getting to being back. Still a long road ahead, but every step matters.
#TBT to another old school sketch we did my first year in LA in our first home, ironically. Chris and Kati were game and played this @nbcsnl inspired sketch really well in my opinion.

One more for today, maybe more tomorrow. This is one of the first sketches I made after moving to LA and @christinecelozzi gave a powerhouse (in my opinion) performance against @katisal ’s restraint and exasperation.
