The largest animal on Earth. Captured by
@adamernsterwildlife
Blue whales are the most massive creatures ever to exist, reaching up to 30 meters (100 feet) in length and weighing over 150 tons (150,000 kg).
Their tongues can weigh as much as an African elephant, and their hearts are the size of a small car.
Despite their size, they swim with remarkable grace, powered by massive tail flukes and bodies shaped for minimal drag.
They’re also among the loudest animals on the planet, producing calls up to 188 decibels — louder than a jet engine.
These sounds can travel across vast distances in the ocean. What do you find most fascinating about blue whales?
