And just like that⊠we pointed the cars north and headed for home đ
A proper mileage day today, cruising up through France although the weather had other ideas. Heavy rain for the first half made things a bit more âinterestingâ, but nothing we couldnât handle.
We broke it up nicely with a stop in Reims for a laid-back Italian and a chance to dry off before the final push.
From there it was straight to the tunnel, making solid time and keeping things smooth all the way back.
Home safe and sound⊠what a week that was đ

Day 5 of the Pyrenees Adventure Recce đ
A real day of two halves.
We kicked off on some unreal flowing back roads. Fast, open, and the perfect way to squeeze every last bit out of the driving. One final blast before the long run north.
Then onto one of the standout moments of the trip, arriving at the iconic Millau Viaduct, just as impressive in person as youâd expect (and yes, the Top Gear scene definitely came to mind).
From there, a change of pace as we jumped onto the motorway and made our way up through central France to our final stop before the last day.

Day 3 of the Pyrenees Adventure Recce complete â°ïž
A proper day of cols today, the kind you dream about. We were darting between Spain and France, climbing high into the mountains and dropping back down into completely different climates. One minute sun, the next something totally different, the Pyrenees doing their thing đ€Ł
Serious driving all day. Big climbs, tight sections, and roads that just donât let up. The GTS and M140i didnât miss a beat â absolutely flying through it and loving every second.
And the views⊠unreal. One of those days where youâre constantly stopping just to take it in.

Day 1 of the Pyrenees Adventure Recce done â đȘđž
We rolled off the ferry into Santander to some pretty moody weather⊠but it didnât hang around for long. As we pushed inland, the skies cleared and the roads came alive! fast, flowing, and exactly what this trip is all about.
An unreal drive across into Pamplona, getting a proper taste of whatâs to come this week.
Wrapped it up the right way too đ€€ pinchos, cold beers, and a buzzing atmosphere in the old town đ»

Yet another absolutely mesmerising #drivingtour from @selectdrivingtours . 2 days of the best driving roads I've ever been on. Being able to put #betty through her paces around the #welsh countryside with scenery to match.
