Notice anything new? 👀
After 10 years, CAC is stepping into a new look.
We’re doubling down on our promise to be the loudest, boldest champion in your corner - and we wanted our look to reflect that.
@sdge puts profits over people⚠️😡 and we say no more! It is time to take back our power✊🏽
We will continue to stand outside of Sempra headquarters (SDG&E parent company) until they change their business model or we will do it for them #publicpower a nonprofit public utility.
Let’s recap this “great start” to the year:
🤑 Sempra’s CEO ends 2025 with a $22M payout
📈 Sempra profits increased
💸 1 in 5 San Diegans are behind on energy bills
💰 And Sempra still has 6 rate hike proposals pending
Time to fire SDG&E!
Story by Rob Nikolewski, @sandiegouniontribune
🎤 We asked volunteers at the April 16th Environment Committee hearing on the Phase II Public Power Feasibility Study what they think about replacing SDG&E with a public, nonprofit utility.
Spoiler: people are ready for change.
This study confirmed what we’ve been saying — public power is feasible, and it’s cheaper.
Now we’re heading to the full City Council in August to push it forward.
✍️ Sign our open letter (link in bio) and tell your council member you want lower bills and local control.

The Claremont Colleges recently booted SoCal Edison in favor of a 100% renewable energy plan with @cleanpowerinfo ! ⚡
Massive credit goes to @5cenvirojustice , our Climate Justice Champions, and all the students who pushed this win across the finish line 👏
San Diego Community College District joins the growing movement to electrify campuses and fleets.
That totals FIVE San Diego districts with an electrification resolution, bringing clean air benefits to over 265k students.
In light of Earth Month, four community leaders shared how they found their current work in environmental activism and advocacy, build grassroots movements, navigate moral existential questions, push through systemic oppression and cross borders to pursue their passions.
Though they say the effort can be daunting, they hope their stories show others that the right resources and communities can help people meaningfully participate in San Diego’s environmental spaces.
