This was such an amazing trip for several reasons. I love painting with good friends that just make magic happen. I’ve been lucky to do that with East and Emit for years and painting with them always makes me work harder.

This was one of the realest moments from the Kansas City BBQ episode.
I caught up with Scribe at @hawgjawkcbbq where his murals are up on the walls, and over BBQ we talked about the work he’s currently doing at children’s hospitals.
This is where I really felt how BBQ connects people in Kansas City even when it’s not directly about the food.

In years past I spent every birthday month of April with my good friend @speedbeard . He’s no longer with us, but the whole crew was impacted by him and I know it went much farther than that. I found a sketch he did of my name and grabbed one his characters and I painted as fast as I could because I knew he would harass me if I didn’t.
So many miss you J. Thanks for being you.
