i want to use my proper camera more, but i lack inspiration sometimes; other times i lack the motivation to see my ideas through to the final product. i’ve got a few things slowly brewing so maybe i’ll give them a go once Stuff has settled and i have a bit more time/energy to focus on doing that

realising i’m big into b&w at the moment, and it tends to be lots of architecture type photos but i wanna take more photos of the people around me. gonna use a friend as my lab rat and make something. i have the urge to make stuff. create innit. idk i’ll update once things are happening

In February this year, we featured in the @bbc ‘s documentary about how nightlife, raving & clubbing isn’t what it once was.
We represented Sheffield, as we threw our own event to commemorate Hope Works closing. Featuring members of our society alongside Kid Lib and Euphonique, it was an unforgettable honour to be a part of the running series of parties before HW shut their doors for the final time.
As a passionate society, will always honour our ethos of supporting grassroots venues & young upcoming artists.

end of semester 2 post, not end of year 2 for me
i’m taking a leave of absence! i think i’ve shouted it on every roof already!! but for those i haven’t told yet and for the sake of still making an end of semester 2 photo dump.. we are here
it’s been a long time now, for the past 5 or 6 years i have been in survival mode trying to push through as far as i can. these last couple years in uni have been a weight of my chest and i very much have had the space to grow out of troubles that had stuck to me through life. but i think i’ve spread myself too thin trying to keep going, and although i’m doing so much better now than back then, it’s become obvious that trying to push any further won’t be very productive.
it’s a bit scary making that decision, i didn’t really have a life trajectory in the first place so getting uni done felt like the first step. and deviating from that in the slightest is a bit.. you know. i very much still plan on finishing my degree (i <3 geography) but i think getting there requires this intermission, where i can stop worrying about everything ever. i will still be in sheffield to come bother everyone. hopefully i get a job. DJing isn’t gonna pay rent.
i want to finally build a solid sense of self around my little world, so that one day i can take on the rest of the world a bit better.
thank you ppl who have been by my side through the rotting and the nights out and the exams and the cafe study sessions and the sitting in weston park and the stress and the gigs and just the waves of life in general. i don’t think i say it enough but i hold so much love for all this, and think i’ve come to love living, too.
