‘Sunshafts at Yarralumla’ … my Day #2 painting
@capital_plein_air festival in Canberra, Australia’s capital. I painted alongside friends from a recent workshop and enjoyed talking with great mates from past plein air painting days. My location (at the Governor-General’s house) overlooks Lake Burley Griffin - and is sheltered by a vast tree planted by a long-dead G-G called Sir John Kerr, who I’ve never mentioned on this page and likely never shall again. But it is a very beautiful tree to paint under. Cheers, Ross
