"Silver feather found!
Whitford Library was one of 20 libraries in all of WA to receive a Silver feather for the Scribblers Festival Golden Feather Hunt. There it waited, hidden tucked away in a great read until it was uncovered entirely by chance.
The boys' Mum told us that the books they normally read were on loan, so she searched for something similar, and in that very book (Funny Kid Seriously Soccer by Matt Stanton) was the elusive prize!
How lucky!

"A 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 Feather has been found at Ruth Faulkner Library! 🪶
Levi J. found the elusive Golden Feather in a copy of Tawny Trouble written by Deb Fitzpatrick. The book follows a child named Tessa whose family accidentally hits a native tawny frogmouth bird while driving in the Australian bush at night, teaching kids wildlife care and conservation, wrapped up in a heartwarming adventure.

That's a wrap on FRONT. 🎨
For two weeks, 140 Perth was taken over by curious kids, bold teens, and a whole lot of creativity. Mural painting, stop-motion animation, podcast storytelling, dance, nature craft, and so much more, all completely free.
