Tuna Head Design 2.0 ššŖāØ
Revisited an older piece because I wasnāt fully happy with the original design and ended up pushing it much further. Did more research on traditional sushi knives (especially the deba) and reimagined it as an ancient blade that activates when touched by fish bloodāwhile still trying to keep the design functional.
Really enjoyed exploring the mix of prop design, worldbuilding, and storytelling in this one. Made with Blender + Photoshop šØ

Ryan and his succulentsāmorning, evening, and night šāØ
Slowly but surely diving deeper into Blender. Iāve dabbled in 3D modeling before, but color, materials, and lighting always felt a bit intimidatingāso I finally decided to learn them properly š¤
Currently still on Lesson 1 from @irismuddy ās class, and Iām already learning so much. Excited to keep going and see how far this takes me š”

Happy New Year! āā“ļøĖļ½”ā
Starting this year by sharing more of the work Iāve done for Dodgeball Dojo.
Iāve mostly worked on animal characters, and this snow monkey is one of my faves. He was designed as a mentor figure (Master Oogway vibes). We werenāt sure if he should be big or small at first, but landed on a nurturing, caring old man.
Fun fact: his mentee is a female sumo wrestler, hence the combs on his ābelt.ā I learned a lot about sumo traditions while designing him šāØ
Two scrub jays about to fight over a peanut š„
This might be my last painting of the year, and Iām really happy with how it turned out.
Itās a Christmas gift for my roomie, who adores birds. In our backyard, sheād toss peanuts on the ground, and without fail, two scrub jays would appearāasking for more and squabbling if they didnāt get extra. That little routine inspired this piece. š¦āØ
Starting a little series of concept art I did for Dodgeball Dojo!
Hereās the plant dragon šæš (Iāve been calling him āWilburā as a personal nickname). I designed both his manga and chibi versions, and heāll always be special to me since he was the first character I made for the project. His chibi forehead is massive, and honestly, I adore it.
If you havenāt yet, go play Dodgeball Dojo on mobile ā the art team really made something unique! ā¤ļø
Ryan makinā it rain š°
Getting ready for Warrior Painterās paint sesh at Pasadena City Hall by painting a little Ryan figurine! It will be my first time joining so I'm excited!
Apparently, Ryanās a maneless lion, not a bear š¦
Had the honor of designing the characters for House Flipās newest map: Asia! š”⨠We wanted to create a father-daughter duo and celebrate Korean and Chinese culture through their outfits.
Fun fact: I drew a lot of inspiration for Lee from my dadās fashion when I was younger ā those striped polo shirts brought back so many flashbacks! š
Whatās a fashion memory from your childhood that always sticks with you? š
ALSO, I'll be at LBX on Saturday! If you're going and want to meet up, I'll be roaming the floor around noon. Hit me up and let me know if you want to meet up š
Excited to start sharing some of the work Iāve done for FUN-GI Games.
šļø Hereās an environment piece I created for House Flip, celebrating the launch of one of our newest cities: Sapporo. āļø It was actually my first time painting a snowy scene, and I had a blast combining painting and 3D to bring it to life.
More to come! āØ
Breaking news: I survived Blender š«”
My first ever Blender creation!! Itās simple, but Iām ridiculously proud (pls clap)
All thanks to @azuubanana ās Blender tutorial on YouTube š
What happens when you accidentally use an enchanted sushi knife forged with ancient magic? You end up bringing a tuna head to life! šāØ
This character actually started as part of a short 2D film I made back in college (last slide, though back then heās a salmon). I wasnāt a fan of his old design, but Iāve always loved the goofy story behind himāso I decided to give him a fresh look. This time, I wanted him to feel like he carries the weight of an old blood spell/curse. I hope I do him justice š
I definitely struggled to get him to look the way I envisionedāthere were plenty of frustrating moments along the way. But I kept tinkering, gave myself time, and in the end Iām really happy with how he turned out ā”Ģ
