Save the date!! 12/18/25 ~ 7 pm Scribble presents: Single Frame Boil: a salon style art show of still image and sculpture works by animators. Single Frame Boil, brings together over 30 animators who were invited to fight the kinetic urge and hold a single unshaken image up for contemplation. In animation a boil refers to an animated sequence made from several (at least two) drawings composed of the same image. The flickering between them creates at once a movement and a sense of suspended time. It allows a single composition to be observed while imbuing the image with a sort of chaotic kinetic energy. Destilling this further, we have asked our artists to submit a single still object or image from a work that would otherwise be in motion.
