From wildfire recovery to future forests 🌲💚
Members of the Port Alberni Scouts recently joined Mosaic Forest Management staff, students, teachers, and community volunteers to help replant areas impacted by the 2025 Mount Underwood wildfire. Together, nearly 100 volunteers came out to help restore land affected by one of the region’s most significant fires.
By planting climate-resilient seedlings and learning about reforestation firsthand, youth had the opportunity to connect environmental stewardship with real community action.
Moments like these remind us that caring for the outdoors also means helping restore and protect it for future generations. 🌱

Beyond the Reef: 15th Lethbridge Venturers Explore Barbados and Global Scouting
What happens when young people dream big, work together, and lead their own adventure? 🌍⚜️
For twelve Venturers and Scouters from 15th Lethbridge, it meant a year of fundraising, SCUBA training, and an unforgettable journey to Barbados filled with exploration, cultural connection, and international Scouting fellowship.
From diving shipwrecks in Carlisle Bay to sharing a campfire with Scouts in Barbados, this was more than a trip. It was youth leadership, teamwork, and global citizenship in action.
A powerful reminder that some of Scouting’s greatest lessons happen when adventure takes you beyond the familiar. 💙

Taking on the John Nemy Trail, these Scouts, Venturers, and Scouters came together for a full day of trail repair, removing hazards, clearing debris, restoring pathways, and helping protect this beautiful community space.
Led as part of a Chief Scout Award project, this is what leadership, teamwork, and giving back looks like in action.

Scouts Canada congratulates the Honourable Louise Arbour on her appointment as Canada’s 31st Governor General.
Recently we had the privilege of speaking with Ms. Arbour as part of our Profiles in Canada series, where she shared thoughtful insights on leadership, responsibility, and the role each of us can play in shaping a better future.
A former Supreme Court Justice, international prosecutor, and United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, her career reflects decades of work in justice, accountability, and human rights in Canada and around the world.
As Ms. Arbour prepares to step into this important constitutional role in Canada, we are reminded of her message that leadership is not about intention alone, but about developing skills and putting them into action to serve others, and her confidence in Canada’s youth as well equipped to take on today’s global challenges and shape the future.
