We're pleased to welcome @gourlaydavid_ to our CFTC Advisory Board!
David is an Ottawa-based business, non-profit, and community leader with over 25 years of experience spanning the public, private, and charitable sectors. He currently serves as a Strategic Partnerships Advisor at Homeward Public Affairs, and has led transformative work in Ottawa's non-profit sector - guiding major non-profit fundraising renewals, championing people-first cultures, and deepening community impact across the city.
David's commitment to Ottawa runs deep. He has served on the Boards of the Ottawa Public Library / Bibliothèque publique d'Ottawa and the Ottawa Community Housing Corporation (OCH) Foundation, chaired the Ottawa Sport Council, and co-founded the Miracle League of Ottawa, a fully accessible and inclusive recreation and sport facility in Orléans for children and youth with special needs. In 2014, he was invested as a Member of the Order of Ottawa in recognition of his outstanding community contributions.
We're excited to have David's expertise, values, and community connections alongside us as we continue to grow.
We’re proud to partner with Canada’s Forest Trust Corporation (CFTC) to take measurable climate action by planting and protecting trees in Canada. Since 2025 we’ve planted more than 50,000 trees, sequestering approximately 7.4 million kg of carbon over their lifetime. This is equivalent to nearly 270,000 one-way trips from Ottawa to Toronto.
We’re growing our impact by planting trees for every car sold. And, we’re joining the Let’s get growing! campaign to help grow Ottawa’s tree canopy, in partnership with CFTC and the City of Ottawa.
We encourage our customers and other local businesses to get involved, so together we can help grow a greener, more resilient city for everyone.

Last week, we were proud to support the First Nations Major Projects Coalition Conference for the third consecutive year. Together, since 2024, we’ve planted and protected more than 9,000 trees across Canada.
This year’s event was a powerful reminder that the decisions we make today must reach far beyond short-term outcomes, toward a future rooted in respect, resilience, and shared responsibility.
Leaders were clear: building a strong Canada is inseparable from building meaningful, long-term partnerships with Indigenous Peoples – grounded in trust, reciprocity, and recognition of Indigenous rights, knowledge systems, and stewardship.
Forests are central to this story. They shape our landscapes, support our economies, and sustain life across the country. For generations, Indigenous communities have been caretakers of these lands, holding deep, place-based knowledge that continues to guide how forests can be protected, restored, and responsibly managed.
Looking ahead means listening, learning, and continuing to work together, so the forests we grow and protect today can support the wellbeing of communities, ecosystems, and future generations.
