Well, what a way to end this tour! The highest honor to be given by a band you’re opening for is to have them join you on stage before their headlining set. Much to my surprise, @willhoge@markmasefield@halsongriffiths@andyherrin and @jontylerwileyhvc snuck up on stage during “Hitchhikers Lullaby”…I was overwhelmed by how beautiful it was, and won’t soon forget that moment. We ended the night and the tour by lighting up the sky over Three Oaks, Michigan and nearly avoiding the police! For both Jenn and I, for many reasons, this has been the best two weeks we’ve had in quite some time. Thank you @willhoge for encouraging me to strip down and sing with just my uke…we’ve gotta stretch to grow.
It was a longer drive from Ann Arbor to Aurora, IL yet we still found time to hit an Antique Mall and a “road side attraction” before heading to @thevenueaurora for a great night of music. Happy Birthday to @andyherrin ! Last night of the tour is tonight @theacorntheater in Three Oaks, Michigan…we have something special planned…you’ll have to check it out in tomorrow’s video!
Due to @the_ark_ann_arbor temporarily being under construction, the show was moved to @kerrytownconcerthouse a historic home that’s been hosting intimate concerts for many decades. It was great to see @willhoge strip down for the occasion.. we all had a blast! I found a way to sneak a few meats from Biercamp into our already stuffed SUV…so…that’s a win, too!
