Today I turn 36, and I’m psyched to say that my debut single “Detours” is being mixed, and will be out this spring!
Wish me a happy birthday by signing up for my mailing list (link in bio), and I’ll send you “Detours” as soon as I get the master, well before it’s out in the streaming world.
After 22 years of collaborating on other people’s songs, (which I’ll certainly continue doing), I’m so excited to build something new with all of you!

The Mermaid is finishing up our busiest season in many years this weekend in Brooklyn, Cambridge and Montreal.

Here’s my fleet of blue Nords, feat. Rosie 🐈⬛. Why can’t we keyboard players choose the color of our instruments?!
Nord Electro 4 was run over, plugged it in, fully out of commission; noisy with almost a whole octave of busted/stuck keys, and rattling like crazy whenever it was picked up. Replaced it with a Nord Electro 5D. Sanded and stained the red cheek blocks, gaffed it blue.
Year and half later, pulled the busted Nord out of storage, and carefully took it apart to scope the innards before turning it into a piece of art. Despite the giant tire-sized dent, I took on a repair/salvage project.
Hilarious looking 🛞 imprint in my Electro 4, very noticeable from all angles, and looking at it head on it still looks like a Wonka piece, but it rips.

Nashville! Not only am I playing two sets with @willhoge at his inaugural Eastside Ramble at the end of July, but I’m also playing a solo Mark Masefield set! Super pumped for a two day air conditioned festival in one of my favorite cities. Get yer tickets for the @eastsidebowl on Friday!
My 1952 Hammond C2 was submerged under 7’ of water at a storage facility in Weehawken during Hurricane Sandy. It sat in its road case from 2012-2018 behind my parents’ shed till they were preparing to move. I opened it up to salvage plastic and metal pieces that I could attach to my functioning Hammond.
I made a bunch of drawbar keychains, and had a necklace made for Katie with some of the gears ⚙️ (shown at the end). Thankfully, this organ lives on a handful of albums, like “Bridge” by Outside the Box (playing on this reel), and Southside Johnny’s “Men Without Women” live record 🎧.
A couple shots from ~2007-2011 with the organ in its functioning state.
RIP 🪦 🎹
