I have always wanted to use some imagery from the old Bank of Hamilton bank notes. Not many people know that there was a Bank of Hamilton Currency that was in circulation from 1872-1914 (roughly). There were a few chances to paint some of this imagery over the years, but they’ve always seemed to fall through. But Steven Hencze reached out and introduced me Ken Lindsay from Mortgage Financial Group (near Ray st and King st, and it was a perfect fit. This wall was tricky, so I had to revise the image from the original note (I can only get so much detail with spraypaint alone) but am really really happy with how it turned out. I’d love to try one again at a much bigger scale so i can really dial in the details. And a little side note, this was all freehand, no projector, no scribble grids, just blocked in shaped and patience. Not saying that artists shouldnt use those tools when needed, but they shouldn’t be your crutch either. Try pushing yourself and build the confidence to do it all, and never stop learning Big thanks to Ken and Steve for the opportunity. Now of to squeeze in a few more projects before part two of our Work In Progress - City Centre transformation during Supercrawl. Oh and a big thank you to the @bocmuseum for providing some high resolution images to use as a reference.

It’s crazy to think how an off the cuff idea about Canada attacking the states with militarized beavers and geese with American eagles and bison defending what’s left, all the while indigenous forces are attacking both sides to get their land back. And being fortunate enough to know so many incredible talented artists on all sides. It was so awesome to bring a proper production/battle to life on a 250 ft wall during @paintlouisofficial , while hundreds of artists from around the world were painting on over 2 miles of wall. So much thanks to @bryanwalshart @loopcolors.usa and @tukeone for believing in my crazy ideas, I got lots of them, and thanks to @prank.db5 @sawr_graffiti @mrlaylo85 #Merkcfa @whos_one @n3mo1er @tukeone @tiempos @sels_yh @hennessey_swanson @xcontratodos100 @braveuno and especially @kev_scraps14 this man is a beast, and such an incredible artist, thanks you all for being a part of this wild ride. Now off to Louisville for @2buckinvitational

So stoked to be in the opening segment for 110th Grey Cup. Pretty crazy that I’m on national tv now for the same thing that used to get me arrested. Life’s weird. #greycup

An interview with @scottanddestroy pt.3 In this video Scott shared about a hidden gem in Hamilton, Woodlands Park, which is a great place for new artists to give large scale art a go, and Scott shares some encouraging words for new artists. 🧑‍🎨 In a world where social media encourages us to be immediately good at everything we do, it’s refreshing to hear from one of the best that the skills and talent will come to life over time! 🙌🎨 Keep an eye out on our page as we will be bringing you more videos from Downtown Hamilton artists as the weeks go on! An interview with @scottanddestroy pt.2 Scott shares with us about this huge mural he painted with Hi Rise Developments tucked quietly away in an alleyway off John Street.🌷🏙️ From small beginnings, Scott has grown into one of the most well-known large scale muralists in the GTHA, and has also been painting some great large-scale stuff with @lndmrk in the 6ix!🗼 Now the driving force behind the @workinprogressfestival Scott is helping make Hamilton that little bit more colourful year in and year out. Keep an eye out on our page as we will be bringing you more videos from Scott, and other Downtown Hamilton artists as the weeks go on! Been a wild year, so much fell through and so many new opportunities arose. Didn’t get to piece as much as I wanted to, but am happy with the progress and can’t wait to see what next year brings. Here’s some highlights from this year

Some outlines from this year, I’m always all over the place and become uncomfortable the moment I become comfortable so I always feel the need to switch it up and try something new. Forever a student of graffiti. Can’t wait to see what happens next year.
