Huge congratulations to our very own Scott Nicholson, who last night took out Coach of the Year at the Sydney Uni Sport Awards! 👏
Scott has been instrumental in leading and driving our women’s water polo program, and his dedication, passion, and commitment to his teams and his coaching staff are truly infectious.
A well-deserved recognition — we’re incredibly proud! 💙

When Teleri met Kaia 💖
Not going to lie, I was pretty nervous how this was going to go, even got T a camera as a “big sister” present. But it was all cuteness, cuddles and a persistent “I want to push baby Kaia in the pram!”
She’s here ✨👶🏼 Kaia Mackenzie Nicholson arrived on Wednesday 11th February at 8.07pm weighing 4.05kg. Mum, Dad and the most excited big sister, Teleri, are smitten (even magic is happy) 🫶🏻
Jury is still out on her hair colour!!! ❤️🤎
3rd World University Games, 2nd as a coach, in the books. The water polo competition was so close that 7 of 8 teams were capable of beating anyone on their day, with both Australia and Hungary defeating eventual winners Germany, while then falling to 6th & 7th on the final standings respectively. I have learnt so much from this group of players and Head Coach @rowiewebster and fellow Assistant @fabpav13 - huge thanks to Bec and WPA for giving me a great opportunity to develop and learn this offseason as a coach. Even bigger thanks to the wonderful @keesjagofers who held down the fort at home with T, which is no mean feat! Couldn’t do anything without the support from home which I am eternally grateful for. Home soon to work towards the next opportunity, hopefully won’t have too many more surf boards hit me in the head at wave pools before the flight…
Forever grateful to have the opportunity to work with the team that kicked off my passion for water polo 25 years ago and attend World Cup Finals as an assistant to the legendary @becrippon . Amazing to see some of Australia’s best players up close and see the processes that have made the Stingers successful, the attention to detail and the dedication every athlete has towards their craft at this level. More than anything, the 5 minute meetings that turned into two hour discussions each day between coaches and staff were so much fun. Still a lot to learn but I hope my crisp high fives and enthusiasm covered some of the knowledge gaps!
Wife, Mother, Athlete, Teacher and everything in between. I could not imagine a day without you and hope you continue to smash what’s possible for a person to achieve in a single year into oblivion! Happy Birthday to the one and only @keesjagofers
A night I will always remember - still one to go, but earning her first Olympic medal tonight after all the work that she has done is so, so, so special. Whatever happens Saturday, tonight is historic. This US team is an absolute dynasty and deserve to be regarded as some of the best players ever. To beat them at this moment of an Olympics is incredible. So proud of @keesjagofers and the whole Stingers team, coaching staff, management and supporters who have made this possible for the girls. Choose our colour on Saturday!
ONE year of T.
Even though you're the centre of attention every day, we're making it official today.
365 days of adorable chaos. You are everything, little Teleri bear 🤍
