Final days in Kerala: Thekkady to Alappuzha and finally Kochi! Had an out of body experience at the spice farm (everything that is delicious in this world grows on a tree here!! Aaaaahhhhh!!!), cruised around on a boat, and spent a brilliant morning at the Kumbalanghi Village.
These women showed us how to use every single part of a coconut and were VERY kind about my inability to spin fibre into rope. I don't think I got the job....
Wrapped up our journey in Kochi, which reminded me a lot of Halifax.
Kerala volume 1: Munnar and Thekkady
Tea fields! As far as the eye can see! Some hiking, some tea tasting, sunrise and wild forest elephants at the Periyar Tiger Reserve, and pepper growing on the trees
Tamil Nadu round two! From Thanjuvar to Chettinad and Madurai. Visited temples, historic houses, and strolled through the banana, flower, and onion markets. I wish we had a many blocks-long onion market!

The first annual Halifax pastry crawl!
This is why having a friend like @theelliad is so marvelous...were it not for her brilliance and ingenuity in the field of pastry and science, I would not have considered this.
Anyway, the route was as follows:
1. @cafelunette.hfx : winner of the best vibe (Évidemment AND Le Poisson Steve?! Merveilleuse).
2. @cafeduporthfx : winner of the best pain at chocolate. No pain au chocolat, no gain au chocolat and this was all gain, mostly because I wanted to immediately eat seven of them.
3. @paneecirco : winner best refreshment, hibiscus soda edition. The cannolo was good, but my friend @doc_amos 's mom's are better. Ma nessun rancore!
4. @rousseauchoco : winner best finale!
Can't wait for next time......
