Sundays are for slowing down — and for showing a little more of myself behind Studio SCHMITD.

I am Eugenie: designer, founder, mother and teacher. With every garment I create, I carry both my past and my vision forward — from couture craftsmanship to the transformation of pre-used textiles. I still believe in circularity of clothes. One day I would love to build an upcycling design factory close to Berlin and put the local textile waste into a second life.
Fashion, for me, is not only about clothes. It’s about stories, values, and connection.
And sometimes, it’s simply about enjoying a beautiful day and feeling at ease in your own skin.
This pictures are made by my lovely friend and photographer Natalia Yakubovskaia. @photo.greenatal Check out her portfolio. Love and appreciation.

Grateful to see @luisaneubauer wearing the Upcycled Sliced Longsleeve during her book tour — a woman who reminds me that transformation begins with courage.
Her new book „Was wäre, wenn wir mutig sind“ deals with the climate crisis, political responsibility, and social change.
Since 2009, I, Eugenie Schmidt, believe that circular design is the future of fashion — that conserving resources and keeping production within local supply chains is the way forward.
We can rethink how clothing is made, worn, and valued.
All of that lives in this T-shirt — and I’m thankful that Luisa embodies this vision.
Special thanks to @johannaperret

A glimpse of students. “Re-assemble a T-Shirt” was an open project for first-year students @seefashionberlinofficial
Cutting, manipulating, and sometimes forcing the material into new shapes and silhouettes. Starting from the simple T with its colors and prints, the students developed their own expression and vision for an outfit. Have a look. Sorry, to my students - I didn't receive all of your pics.
