Amouage Love Hibiscus 🌺 My day began with a webinar hosted by @amouageofficial where @renaudsalmon and renowned perfumer Jérôme Epinette walked us through the latest addition to the Amouage Secret Garden Collection: Love Hibiscus. And honestly, in true Amouage fashion, it is nothing short of beautiful. Love Hibiscus was created to express far more than a floral gourmand. It brings together texture, colour, sensuality, comfort, warmth, and that addictive quality that keeps you coming back for more. Amouage truly achieved that, and then some. From the very first smell, what stood out to me was the indulgent warmth of salted caramel. It felt rich, comforting, and absolutely blissful. As I took in that sweet warmth, warm resinous woods quickly began to emerge, instantly reminding me that I was experiencing an Amouage. Then came the unmistakable beauty of the house’s signature frankincense, adding the depth and elegance Amouage does so well. The hibiscus then starts to reveal itself. For me, it does not fully take centre stage, but instead feels soft and delicate, almost flirting with the frankincense rather than overpowering it. The passion fruit adds a subtle sweetness and, although listed in the top notes, I could still detect it later in the olfactory journey. To me, Love Hibiscus is a perfect Amouage for someone who enjoys a little bit of everything in a scent. It has sweetness, warmth, florals, and resinous depth all wrapped together beautifully. Perhaps even the perfect first Amouage . I can imagine this shining in the summer, but it would smell just as incredible in the winter too. Experiencing Love Hibiscus has been such a delightful pleasure. Jérôme shared that, growing up, he watched his mother sell perfumes and witnessed firsthand the joy fragrance could bring to people. That sense of bliss and emotional connection clearly feels woven into Love Hibiscus. It creates exactly that kind of impression, a blissful experience you never want to let go of.
