If you’re looking for things to do with kids in Columbia, SC, these are four favorites that are easy to mix into one full day or spread out over multiple visits:
🦎 EXPLORE DOWNTOWN
Get to know
@columbiasc by taking the Sally Salamander Walking Tour. You can either head to the Columbia SC Visitors Center for information or get the digital pass from their website and then it’s time to start learning about Columbia while you’re looking for our little reptilian friend.
🌎 STATE HISTORY
A visit to the
@scstatemuseum gives you the chance to learn about the history of South Carolina through FOUR floors of exhibits (some of them are permanent and some change periodically). Don’t miss the planetarium or 4D shows!
🦁 ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS
A visit to
@riverbankszoosc means not just a zoo visit, but a trip to an aquarium and a botanical garden. Enjoy the more than 2,000 animals that call Riverbanks home and explore exhibits around every corner.. The Saluda Skyride gives riders sweeping views of the Saluda River as you travel between the zoo and the botanical gardens (go early to avoid lines!)
⚾️ PLAY BALL
Cap off your visit with a trip to Segra Park to watch a
@colafireflies baseball game. It’s a fun, family-friendly atmosphere and a great way to end the day. If you’re able to attend a game with fireworks, they put on a great show!
Whether you’re local or planning a visit, Columbia, SC has so many family-friendly activities that make it easy to get out and explore.
Save this for your next Columbia day with kids! And I’d love to hear, which one would your kids love most?
