✨🎻IN THE COMMUNITY: Yesterday, principal bassist Samuel Shuhan and section bassist Ryan Baird brought music and connection to the residents of Valle Verde retirement community. They performed for more than 80 residents and guests (including founding member of the Santa Barbara Symphony Nancy Chase, longtime local bass teacher and mentor to many students from The Symphony’s Youth Ensembles) in a special evening of live music. It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to share music with such a wonderful community.
🎵Maestro Kabaretti continues to share about the immense scale and emotional power of Mahler’s “Resurrection” Symphony—from the massive orchestra and chorus to the unforgettable crescendo that builds toward one of the loudest and most thrilling endings in all of symphonic music. More than a performance, it’s a journey you can truly feel yourself being carried through.
