Next month marks the 3-year anniversary of the Del Rosa Elementary School Full-Day Kindergarten building, completed in October 2022. Hundreds of our youngest learners have experienced a nurturing and engaging environment at Del Rosa over these past three years, making it a cornerstone of enriching early childhood education. As we celebrate this milestone, we’re proud of how this $5 million facility has supported educational journeys from day one and created opportunities that lay the foundation for lifelong learning. As they say at Del Rosa Elementary School, “College begins in Kindergarten.” #EarlyEducation #FullDayKindergarten #SBCUSD #SchoolDistrict #Construction #Elementary #Playground #EarlyLearning @sbcityusd

Upgrading HVAC systems is a crucial step toward a sustainable future for SBCUSD. Over the years, we have been implementing energy-saving measures to move closer to net-zero energy capacity. More efficient HVAC equipment not only results in substantial energy cost savings but also enhances indoor air quality and comfort for our students. These upgrades reflect our commitment to being accountable to both our students and the environment, ensuring a more sustainable future. #Sustainability #EnergyEfficiency #NetZero #SBCUSD #SchoolDistrict #Construction #HVAC @sbcityusd

Since 2004, Rancho Cucamonga based Miller Construction has proudly partnered with SBCUSD, supporting the district’s growth and modernization. With over 30 years of expertise in educational construction and having worked with a number of school districts in the area, the partnership was a natural fit. One of their proudest collaborations is the Paakumá K–8 STEM building, featured earlier this week. This 8,256-square-foot facility included three classrooms, dedicated spaces for art, science, and band instruction, as well as restrooms and essential support areas. In close collaboration with PJHM Architects, the facility was designed to enhance the school’s comprehensive learning environment. Miller Construction’s philosophy is simple yet powerful: “It’s always a school site before a construction site.” By prioritizing safety, delivering quality work, and maintaining open, respectful communication, they have built trusted relationships with SBCUSD and beyond. We value our partnership with Miller Construction and thank their team for consistently putting our students and staff first. #SBCUSD #VendorSpotlight #MillerConstruction #EducationPartners #SchoolSafety #TrustedPartner #SanBernardino #pjhmarchitects @miller_construction_ @sbcityusd @pjhmarchitects

One year after the completion of a $9.5 million expansion project at Paakumá, students and staff are experiencing the benefits daily. The expansion added a new classroom wing to support the growing student body. With dedicated spaces for band and STEM, students have been able to explore music and expand their STEM knowledge. We're excited to see how this development continues to enrich student learning and engagement. #SBCUSD #SanBernardino #PaakumáK8 #schoolexpansion @paakumak8 @sbcityusd

San Bernardino High School’s Career Technical Education Makerspace, which was designed by Davy Architecture, is providing students with a hands-on environment to explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), which are the foundation for building a highly skilled workforce that is in demand. The space includes a 3D printer, workstations, fabrication machinery, and more that inspires students to create. The Makerspace is one element of a larger project that included a new professional development area for staff, archive gallery, lecture hall, and buildings for art and digital arts. All buildings were designed with sustainability in mind. The Makerspace is a great example of how we are building environments that give students the skills they need to succeed while creating brighter futures for our community. #CardinalWay #SustainableBuilding #Sustainability #Makerspace #ConstructionProject #SBCUSD #SanBernardino #EnergyEfficient #GreenSpace #Sustainability #TradeProfession #SkilledTrade @sbhs_official @sbcityusd
