I was tongue tied when on stage but wanted to say so much more! I care deeply about disability rights and the rights of $3x workers for so many reasons— as we age, we will become more and more disabled, and isn’t that the best case scenario? To reach old age? so many of us will at some point have a disabling time in our lives— breaking a leg from practicing a hobby we love, chronic pain as our responsibilities are heavier, all the ways trauma shows up in our minds/ bodies, possibly getting COVID and long term COVID. Not only does making the world more inclusive benefit those who need accommodations, it helps EVERYone! Things that are made for those who are most disabled end up working BETTER for everyone! Because how many times have non neurodivergent people benefited from tips for people with ADHD, needed to use a ramp for a sick skate video or when our knees were off— orrrr went surfing, got laundry machined and couldn’t hear for a few days (oops). 
This film was so special because we also got to bring in the intersectionality of rights of people with disabilities & s3x workers. Both of these are so often cast towards the fringes of society while secretly, everyone needs them or will become them at some point. Sex work is extremely therapeutic for so many people especially those who have been cast off. It allows one to explore their s3xualit¥ judgment free and that can cater to people’s needs. And so many people with disabilities have also found s3x work as a way to gain independence. The same people who try to criminalize s3x work are hiring strippers for their bachelor parties. I loved getting to imagine the world I desire for disabled people, and bringing together so many disabled creatives for this was an absolute dream. The Earth is my lover. I breathe her in deeply, her scents comfort me. I lay across her lazily amongst lilies or lizards or lionsmane. The sun caresses my skin and gently glides across my cheek. We grow old together. Our petals fall off and wilt and hair turns gray and faces wrinkly. All the nutrients she fed me from her bosom return to the soil. She feeds us again.
