Me and Mark Adderley visited Cressingham Gardens and honestly, I left disheartened and shocked.
After speaking to residents and seeing it for myself, it’s clear this community has been failed for years. Homes boarded up the moment people move out. Drains spilling onto the ground where kids play. Rubbish left piling up like it doesn’t matter.
But what stood out most was the people. Residents organising, standing together, fighting for their homes and their community.
If elected, this will be one of my priorities. Everyone deserves dignity, respect, and the right to stay in the place they call home

Extract: "Cressingham campaigners have been criticising Lambeth for a failure to maintain their estate for more than a decade, suggesting that this has been a purposeful move to strengthen the council’s case for demolition.
A walk through the estate reveals homes boarded up, some since the 1990s, and introduces a swathe of residents who complain that repairs have not been carried out to standard.
A strong core of residents have been vocal about the defence of their homes, and who hope to unite their neighbours and continue the fight to remain at Cressingham."
