Shot and developed my first roll of film while I was in San Diego for my sister’s wedding! Some of my favorite shots are frontals of my nephews, so I can’t post them, but these are a few of the other highlights ☺️
In an age where we have so many tools to achieve incredibly sharp images, the softness and grain of film always stands out to me

I think this photo is the perfect encapsulation of 2024. Taking the good with the tough, and wearing the blow to the chin when it happens but keeping a smile on my face. (You can’t tell but of course I’m wearing my Alamo Drafthouse hat)
The beginning of this year I was monotonously working a classic SF tech job, but loving the life and community I had built for myself. A random trip to LA to see one of my favorite movies and a layoff/company shut down later, the path I thought I was coasting along abruptly changed.
I finally had a second to step back and ask myself what I really want to do, or what I feel drawn to; something that just didn’t seem to matter with the comfort I had previously. Ironically, I told myself I’d look for something a bit more stable than a start up - instead landed myself in a notoriously unstable and unpredictable industry 😅 I guess I never was one to take the easy way out.
The second half of this year is unrecognizable to the first. I’m exploring an industry and career path that excites me, but terrifies me. I’m adapting to and managing a life without financial stability. I’m meeting incredibly cool, creative, and interesting people doing really neat work. I’m sacrificing playtime and relaxation to hustle and make things happen.
It’s been a really difficult year in many ways; I wouldn’t change anything that’s happened though. I can tell I’m on a path that feels right. I’m grateful to all the people in my life that have understood my absence while I dive into this and still go out of their way to keep me in the loop/involved. The support from everyone around me has allowed me to keep smiling through it. Hoping to find more stability and balance in the new year, but for now, appreciative to be on the journey.

June was a whirlwind, but I can definitely say, despite some setbacks, it’s one of my favorite June’s of all time 🥹 Stoked to be surrounded by so many people that made it special and made me feel loved. There was a lot to celebrate: a kickball championship, birthday shenanigans, and pride! Unfortunately, got hit with an unexpected layoff. But I’m taking the good with the bad, and honestly really excited to see what this next chapter in this crazy little life has in store.
Keep me in mind if you hear of any Bay Area film/production opportunities or Product Manager roles 🙏
