Thank you to the beautiful @megha.jairaj for this poster of In the Wake of Remembering. 🤍 I made this film last year at @nftsfilmtv with the most sensitive and thoughtful people who dreamed with me a way to remember the Burnsall Strike and all the struggles, strength and joy it carried. I learned so much from excavating this history, about the power of localised knowledge, collective movements and the special ability that the past has in helping us map the future. Love to all who was involved @emma_hinnells @sanjanapathania @piotr_zuch @katieellwood_music @anitttttta1225 @ivan.michael.colour @southasiasolidaritygroup @tejpurewal And my partner in all I do @bhasmangjoshi 🌹

A Good Question Was a pleasure to write the music for this wonderful and moving documentary Since Britain’s colonization of India, migration has reshaped Punjab, leaving homes crowned with colloquial water tank sculptures—planes, tractors, animals—as striking emblems of diasporic success. Through sculptor Davinder’s craft and his own emigration plans, the film explores migration’s enduring socio-political and emotional impact.
